FAQs

Do I need to be an NDBN member to attend?
No! We encourage community based organizations serving low income families, policy advocates, government representatives, maternal and child care providers, health and social service workers, early childhood education professionals, and concerned community members. We invite you to join colleagues and nationally recognized experts for an in-depth exploration of critical issues relating to poverty and basic needs.

Are there scholarships available?
NDBN is able to provide a limited number of scholarships to help offset the cost of attending the 6th Annual Diaper Banks in America Conference. All NDBN members in good standing are eligible to apply for a scholarship. Scholarships are limited to one per organization. To be considered for this scholarship, please complete the online application by Wednesday, June 7th, 2017.

Are registration discounts available?
Yes! NDBN offers early bird registration for those who register prior to July 31st, 2017, as well as discounted pricing for NDBN members, speakers and students.

What forms of payment are accepted?
American Express, MasterCard, or VISA. Checks for registration payable to National Diaper Bank Network. Purchase orders are not accepted. No registration or housing request will be processed without applicable payment.

Where do I pick up my badge?
Badges will be available at the registration desk on-site.
Can I bring a guest to networking events?
Guest registration is designed for the spouse, partner or family members of the registrant. Guest may attend the session(s) in which the registrant is presenting. Guest registration is not valid for attending any other sessions or events.

Can I attend one day only?
You are welcome to schedule your day around the workshops and sessions you wish to attend, your registration cost includes the two day event.

Can I transfer my registration?
Registration is not transferable.

What if I need to cancel?
There is a $5 service charge for pre-conference event participant cancellations; the remainder of the event fee will be refunded if a written request is received by NDBN by August 31, 2017. Written requests can be emailed to mary@diaperbanknetwork.org NDBN regrets that refunds for registration, pre-conference events, paid lunches and tours will not be made after August 31, 2017. Are meals included?
Breakfast and lunch are included. Dinner Thursday evening is also included.

What will the weather be like?
According to the Weather Channel, the average daily high is 84 degrees in October, while the average low is 66 degrees.

What is the dress code?
While there is no dress code, we would recommend you are comfortable. We recommend business casual attire.

Can I receive a press pass?
NDBN will make a limited number of complimentary press passes available to accredited journalists. To apply for a complimentary press pass please email mary@diaperbanknetwork.org

There are so many workshops, which one should I choose?
The robust offerings can make it difficult to decide which workshops to attend. While we provide training materials after the conference for most workshops and sessions, we also provide customized conference planning. Feel free to email mary@diaperbanknetwork.org to assist!

Do I have to sign up for sessions?
Participants can attend any workshop listed in the conference schedule, but we do encourage you to utilize the NDBN Conference App as seating is first-come for all sessions. If a session becomes full, we will have staff on-hand to assist in selecting a different session.
