The map at this link provides quick information on poverty generally, child poverty, and senior policy for each state if you hover over it. The magic is when you click on the state, and you get information about each state’s usage of government assistance programs, housing (homeless, foreclosures, renters, number of people spending more than 50% on housing etc), family make up (grand families, foster kids, single parents, etc.), poverty by demographic, economic well-being, and judicial system (total incarcerated, juveniles in correction facilities). Lots of great data for all my fellow poverty data geeks.
