NDBN Selects Jane Dennett for Champions for Change Honor and Says Goodbye

Posted on: June 17, 2014 by admin

National Diaper Bank Network is thrilled to announce the selection of Administrative Associate Jane Dennett for the Champions for Change honor.

Each and every day Jane educates, mentors and encourages individuals wanting to help address diaper need by hosting a diaper drive, starting a diaper bank or donating money. She also counsels, comforts and frequently cries, with moms, dads and family members experiencing diaper need. The stories of need are often wrenching.

Jane always goes above and beyond the expected to find ways to help. From her friendly Facebook posts, email responses or telephone demeanor, Jane’s presence makes a difference.

NDBN’s recognition of Jane for the Champions for Change is bittersweet. While certainly deserving, the honor is a fitting tribute to an original staff member who is moving on to new ventures.  Jane’s last day at NDBN will be June 20.  She is returning to the world of real estate.  However, Jane will remain active in the diaper bank community as she is a long-time volunteer and board member of The Diaper Bank of New Haven.

Please help us celebrate Jane’s tenure and involvement with NDBN, and if you’re so inclined, pop her a congratulatory email at Jane@diaperbanknetwork.org.

During her tenure at NDBN, Jane frequently mused that she wished she had a small personal fund that she could tap in order to provide “emergency diaper relief” to families living in areas not served by a diaper bank. We want to make Jane’s Fund a reality.

Please help us celebrate Jane’s commitment to NDBN by making a contribution to Jane’s Fund, an NDBN fundraiser hosted on CrowdRise.com. The fund will be administered by NDBN, under Jane’s guidance, with the purpose of providing emergency diaper relief in exceptional cases. The fund is a fitting tribute to an exceptional woman, our friend and colleague Jane.
