Jill is the Founder and Director of the Diaper Bank of the Ozarks. Until her retirement in 2002 she worked as a geriatric/ psychiatric nurse, focusing on Alzheimer’s Disease. Once she became a grandmother, Jill found her passion turned to babies and meeting their basic needs. The Diaper Bank of the Ozarks is a hybrid bank distributing both disposable and cloth diapers in the city of Springfield and throughout the poverty ravished rural counties in SW Missouri. A busy bank, they distribute about one half million diapers a year but are still mostly run by volunteers. When Jill is not at the diaper bank, she enjoys spending time with her family in England and also across the States. She now has eight grandchildren and hopes for just a few more. Jill loves to sew, quilt, knit and snuggle with her Old English Sheepdog, Maddie, who believes she is a lap dog!
